I'm trying to emerge gnash in a kde system and I'm trying to avoid installing other libraries, such as gtk, and I've found that gnash is trying to install gtk+. I've read the documentation of the gnash webpage and says that gnash is optional, that only a GUI library is required, and this can be gtk, kde-libs ... So, why the ebuild requires gtk+? Reproducible: Always

Maybe you could test if this ebuild does it (and even works..). Unfortunately I have no system to test this on.
(In reply to comment #2) The ebuild also requires gtkglext to build gnash that is only needed to integrate OpenGL into GTK, so I think it also can be dropped. GTKglext needs gtk+ to compile, so removing gtk and leaving gtkglext as a dependency has no effect to the compilation.
OK, I've tried to compile it without gtkglext and compiled fine. It works in konqueror, but youtube videos doesn't play, just shows the video window with the buttons, the sound scroll, the video scrool and the play again and share buttons inside the video window.
bug should be fixed..
