Description Luke-Jr 2003-04-07 23:28:17 UTC
The Qt ebuilds currently have the license variable set to simply "QPL". Qt is,
however, licensed under either the QPL or the GPL so this should probably be
changed to "QPL | GPL"

I've been thinking about this, and I'm thinking that it may make more sense to make this
licensed under the GPL.

The QPL applies only to the commercial version, which is a separate package and download.

Anyone have comments on this?
Comment 2 Luke-Jr 2003-05-09 21:26:04 UTC
The version distributed is licensed under either license, at the choice of the user. The QPL is
what programs like VMWare Workstation use so that they don't have to GPL their code.

You're right!

Fixed in portage. Thanks for the report.
