After upgrading splashutils to 1.5 I noticed, besides bug #188578, that it eats the top and bottom lines of the "progress bar box". The first splash image (initializing kernel) still displays right but the second (booting ...) shows the "progress bar box" with only the lateral borders. The top and bottom ones disappeared.
Which splash theme are you using?
(In reply to comment #1) > Which splash theme are you using? > I am using a theme I built after some gentoo theme I can't remember now. It was (and is with splashutils 1.4.x) working fine since long time ago. Baiscally, I just changed the background photo and the colors. I don't find any error possibility in the theme unless there are new "specs" for the new version of splashutils. Anyway, as I said, the first splash part displays correctly. BTW, the borders of my progress bar box are yellow on a dark background. May be this makes its missing very noticeable. I'll create an attachment. It can be used with any dark background.

This problem should be fixed in splashutils-1.5.1.
