Description alex 2007-08-16 17:22:11 UTC
The < and > keys do not work correctly in vino.

This upstream bug report provides a fix, but it has yet to reach the version in portage.

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440429

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable vino in System/Preferences/Remote Desktop
2. Access the GNOME session remotely from a Mac with Chicken of the VNC
3. Attempt to use the < and > keys

Actual Results:
< and > are read as z and x

Expected Results:
< and > should give < and >

I am having similar problems too. For me it is
mainly the Shift+1 to Shift+0 that is problematic.
Tried the belov patch and it got a little better.
Now I get the chars:
12#45k/()=
when I press Shift+1 to Shift+0
The computer running the vino server has an U.K keyboard
and my clinet computer has a Swedish keyboard.

2.20 which has been stable for a while should have this fixed. If not try vino-2.22 which will be commited in 10 minutes and if it's not fixed, please reopen this bug.
