Hi!

I'm volunteering for creating a real-time project for gentoo. Initially it would allow gentoo to support RTAI and RTnet. Xenomai would follow if there was sufficient user requests.

Is Gentoo interested in this?

Thanks for the showed interest. New developer bugs are meant to be opened after you have already done work for Gentoo. http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=1&chap=2 You also need an existing developer to mentor you. I don't really know who of the existing developers this concerns so perhaps you would like to present your ideas on our development mailing list. Will close this for now to perhaps open later.
