Description Bas van Dijk 2003-04-07 07:53:55 UTC
Steps to reproduce:

 - I opened 2 konqueror windows.
 - In the first window I logged into a FTP server.
 - I dragged 'n dropped a file from the FTP server to the other konqueror window.
 - While the file was being copied I closed both konqueror windows (ofcourse the file
transfer continued).
 - I opened a NEW konqueror window.
 - When the file transfer finished the newly opened konqueror window CLOSED!!!

I don't think this is supposed to be happening.

The file that was being transfered was pretty big (a 700 MB movie).

I am able to reproduce this problem over and over again (also with different files).
My brother who has basicly the same system as I have can also reproduce the
problem.

Note that I have set the "Minimize memmory usage" to "Always (use with care)" in the
konqueror settings.

When the konqueror window closes I don't get that "crash dialog" you always see in
case of a crash. So maybe konqueror doesn't crash but just closes.

 System info:
 KDE / Konqueror 3.1.1
 gcc 3.2.2
 glibc 2.3.2
 kernel: gentoo-sources 2.4.20--r2

I also made a thread on this on the gentoo forums:

you should post this bugreport to kde developers

Yes, this behaviour would be a bug in KDE which would better be reported to the KDE website
for fixing in a later version.
