Reproducible: Always

That's right, we are using new-style virtuals in generation-2 so there's virtual/jdk and virtual/jre packages depending on the providers, not providers specifying PROVIDES=virtual
and that's how it is with all versions - 1.4 1.5 and 1.6 so I don't see a problem here?

betelgeuse@pena /usr/portage/virtual/jdk $ grep sun-jdk-1.6 *
jdk-1.6.0.ebuild:RDEPEND="=dev-java/sun-jdk-1.6.0*"betelgeuse@pena

Ok, seems like I got something wrong here. I noticed that emerge eclipse-sdk will install virtual/jdk and blackdown-jdk, although I have sun-jdk installed. So I thought the missing virtual/jdk is the culprit .. hmm. I'll have another look at it.

Thanks.

You are using stable and haven't keyworded the virtual ebuilds. Please ask for support on more proper channels next time :) Thanks.
