Description Joe Pelkey 2007-08-13 07:13:23 UTC
An entropy testing program.
Version date derived from #define UPDATE in ent.c
ent-20060716.ebuild attached.

I'm not sure how to handle the fact that the filename doesn't reflect the version of ent (in case it's updated in the future). I only tested on the amd64 platform, but I'd be surprised if it also didn't work (at least) on x86.

Thanks.

Comment 2 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-13 07:19:11 UTC
- DEPEND="virtual/libc" is pointless
- you are missing DEPEND on unzip
- src_test() is default and as such redundant
- unversioned SRC_URI is a no go, ask upstream to provide a versioned file

Is there still any interest in getting ent into Portage? Please note that we have already got a similar tool in, app-crypt/dieharder - which appears to be more active and to have some serious scientific backing.

In light of not having received any comments for 2 months, assuming there is no longer any user demand for this package. Closing the bug.
