There is a bug in kino 1.1.0 that segfaults the application. This has been fixed in 1.1.1. Please add to portage. http://www.kinodv.org/article/view/165/1/7/

Martin, This has nothing to do with Kino, but with the way Portage deals with blockers. You may want to try a more recent version of Portage and/or unmerge and then remerge Kino. Also, please, one issue per bug only. Ken, I have just bumped Kino to the latest version. Thanks for telling us. Denis.
