I know that this is a general bug in circulation i.e not specific to gentoo. However, it would be nice to see it fixed. Basically, xmltv crashes as it sees two identical stations. There is a fix, but the fix is for xmltv-5.46. Just a case of replacing two files. But I have xmltv-5.44 installed which is the the most up-to date so far. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open freeguide 2.click download latest listings 3 Actual Results: A brief view of xmltv gui. Expected Results: Download listings and a progress bar on window.
Please update to version 0.5.47, I bumped that in CVS yesterday. from http://xmltv.org/wiki/ : latest version is 0.5.47. Changes: tv_grab_uk_rt : deal with duplicate channels names ...... Please note also that backporting for xmltv is a nonsense as updates and newer versions are 99% fixed scripts, so a "fair" backport is exactly the new-release.
Sorry, but would it be possible to have the newest version installable via emerge, as I can not understand gentoo cvs. Cheers (In reply to comment #1) > Please update to version 0.5.47, I bumped that in CVS yesterday. > > from http://xmltv.org/wiki/ : > > latest version is 0.5.47. > Changes: > tv_grab_uk_rt : deal with duplicate channels names > ...... > > Please note also that backporting for xmltv is a nonsense as updates > and newer versions are 99% fixed scripts, so a "fair" backport is > exactly the new-release. >
We commit ebuilds to CVS where they are stored. The rsync mirrors grab the data within 30 minutes and make it available. So by saying it's committed, it is available. Just emerge --sync.
