I wanted to ask whats the reason for qscintilla being in "dev-python" and not "x11-libs". QScintilla is an editor-class written in C++ for Qt3/4. It only ships optional python-bindings which can be turned on/off via python-useflag. For example Qwt (2D-Plotting-library) is also in x11-libs, it's a Qt4-library, too. Reproducible: Always
Sorry, realised this ATM... I took QScintilla-2.1 from here: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158116 So this request is only for the most recent version which is not yet in portage. The current stable seems to depend on PyQt/4, so dev-python is ok. As the category change was mentioned yet in the bug above, you can close this as a duplicate...
qscintilla has been moved to x11-libs. thanks for reporting.
