Description Mark Guertin 2002-04-17 14:48:04 UTC
There have been many users on #gentooppc so far with BMAC machines
(iMac, pismo, etc) that cannot get ethernet to work. After looking at the
default .config file supplied with the build (if it is the same as the iso
kernel) it appears to not have BMAC selected (it didn't have anything
except GMAC)

would need at least the following for most ppc machines:
BMAC (imac, older powerbooks)
GMAC (all G4 based machines)
MACE (all older PCI based powermacs)

iso SHOULD have 2 boot options: one for PMU gmac Macs and one for everything
else. Can someone test the everythingelse kernel?

In addition I am about ready to release new build + iso but I'd REALLY like
someone to try out the rivafb stuff in my kernel patch first.
