Description Radoslaw Szkodzinski 2007-08-08 09:42:46 UTC
Please bump. 1.3.1 was released at 2007-07-27

This version requires autotools, but is not a snapshot, so fix the ebuild accordingly.
Mask the "newer" versions when this has been tested. (works fine on ~amd64, probably ~x86 too)

Sorry for wrong severity. Also fixed the topic for more searchability.

I'm aware of the 1.3.1 release; it was a direct release of trunk as it was at the time, containing no significant updates since the 20060816 snapshot: all the source files are unmodified (except for $Id$ comments), there are just documentation and translation updates. The 1.3.2 release will be 1.3.1 plus patches from various sources all put in a central place, so I would rather wait for that before doing a bump. If there is anything in 1.3.1 that's important to you, though, please let me know and I will probably add it.

(And you read metadata.xml correctly, but feel free to assign sawfish bugs directly to me.)

sawfish 1.3.2 has been released now, and I will add it to the tree after a bit of basic testing.
Comment 4 Harald van Dijk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-22 21:02:42 UTC
I've added sawfish 1.3.2 to the tree (and renamed older ebuilds), but as there is a report of a segfault with incorrect file names on the mailing list, I will keep it masked for now. If you would like to try it out, you can unmask it by
  echo 'x11-wm/sawfish **' >>/etc/portage/package.keywords
Even while it's masked, any bug reports are welcome.

It looks like sawfish 1.3.3 is out. I'm not sure if this fixes the segfault though.
Comment 6 Harald van Dijk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-02-20 17:38:35 UTC
Thanks, I've already added 1.3.3 (and it fixes the segfault, so I didn't keep it as hardmasked), but I forgot to comment and close this bug :)
