I'm not able to stream with vorbis encoder. I always get this error : [00000385] vorbis encoder error: CBR mode initialisation failed Works fine with mp3. I tried to recompile libvorbis, ffmpeg, vlc, but nothing better. I almost sure that is a recent issue. I didn't get it a few weeks ago when I tried. I use amd64 arch. revdep-rebuild doesn't give anything. could you please provide a simple test case to reproduce the bug ? (e.g. a command line or the sout command displayed at "stream output mrl" target in open file -> stream/save -> settings menu if you're doing it that way) And also the output of vlc -vv when it's failing I've just tried to stream to http with vorbis in ogg and it went fine. Also, what version of libvorbis are you using ?
Works now, with the same command line : vlc mms://stream.tv-radio.com/alternative-128k ":mms-caching=5700" ":sout=#transcode{acodec=vorb,ab=128,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=http,mux=ogg,dst=:1234}}" I don't know why... Sorry. My libvorbis is 1.1.2-r1, but it was 1.1.2 when I submitted. I upgraded it Wed Aug 22.
