Description Sam Cole 2003-04-04 21:12:13 UTC
WineX 3.0pre1 should be in a different slot from WineX 2.x, WineX 3 breaks some
things I'd like 2.x for. They should really even be different packages.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

I'm no transgaming subscriber and they didn't send me a free version yet, so i dont know anything about install locations, etc.

Do they (winex-transgaming-2.2.1 and winex-transgaming-3.0_pre1) share locations or do they install in different locations? What about the per-user config - does it always go to ~/.transgaming? If it does, is that wanted or it is not? Many questions - i cant answer them.

Would love to hears some feedback.

The binaries have different locations. WineX 3 updates the config files on first use, this however, does not break WineX 2. So they co-exist quite nicely.

Fixed.

Thanks for the contribution.

From what I heard, Transgaming is going to move winex3 back to winex when it
releases the final version -- not sure how definite that is though. Just
something to watch out for.
