I tried to compile qt and saw this error:

/usr/i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: warning: liblcms.so.1, needed by
/usr/lib/libmng.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link) 

I installed lcms from media-libs and then qt compiled.

qt already has the lcms dependency, maybe you tried to merge ignoring 
dependencies?
