Description Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-04 04:22:50 UTC
It looks like the doc is outdated. It talks about 2.2 and 2.3-kernels, and has
some "tweaks" that the current nVidia-drivers don't support anymore. Also, iirc,
nVidia won't work with AGPGART anymore, but I could be mistaken (don't use nVidia).

Can the author tell if this doc is indeed very outdated or if there are only
minor adjustments to be done?

It is indeed very outdated, still holds some useful informations, but it seems to have been done before 2.4.0 got out, and before the p4 got popular! (no references to any p4 chipset in the chipset list - and only very old Athlon chipsets there)

Also the docs predate drivers 1.0-something (whenever that was released... I didn't have an nvidia card at that time).

The NVidia TSG has now been removed from the listing (not from the cvs, it's just not linked anymore) because it's very outdated.

Closing this bug as per Josh's request in gentoo-doc's ML.
