Comment 3 Conrad Kostecki gentoo-dev 2007-07-31 21:02:47 UTC
LDFLAGS="" and CFLAGS="-O2 -march=k8" does NOT help!
Comment 4 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-31 21:47:59 UTC
try remerging media-libs/smpeg
Comment 5 Conrad Kostecki gentoo-dev 2007-08-01 13:24:36 UTC
This helps! This package was NOT installed.

Why not? emerge -av -uDN didn't pulled it into depencies.
Comment 6 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-01 16:29:41 UTC
glad it's working for you.

I just helped someone in the forums who ran into the same exact thing. How is this fixed when you have to manually emerge a package that, according to the ebuild, is only required if the mp3 USE flag is set? The reporter never had smpeg in the first place, so there was nothing to re-emerge.
