Description Seamus Riordan 2007-07-25 20:28:16 UTC
wpa_supplicant ebuild does not offer a USE flag to build support for the hermes driver

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-25 20:32:04 UTC
Yeah, it doesn't because it is broken (see ChangeLog and Bug 153732). So, does it actually compile for you with the drivers enabled?
Comment 2 Seamus Riordan 2007-07-25 20:42:03 UTC
I see no way to enable the driver. The entirety of the USE flags are:

dbus, gnutls, gsm, kernel_FreeBSD, kernel_linux, madwifi, qt3, qt4, readline, and ssl.

From the changelog I saw that it was declared broken on Nov 1 and then fixed on Nov 2 by Roy Marples (comment 6 in the bug). Am I reading this wrong?

wpa_supplicant-0.5.7, 0.5.8 and 0.6.0 don't ship with the hermes driver so we cannot offer a use flag to build with.

You should query upstream about where the driver is.
