I've just told with mirror administrator. He told me that: * portage is now synced twice an hour with rsync.de.gentoo.org * sources are synced one time an hour with ftp.ussg.iu.edu::gentoo-distfiles * server fulfills hardware requirement and has 1Gbps of bandwith (it hosts other distributions too so of course this is not all bandwidth for us) * system administrator is subscribe to gentoo-mirrors mailing list If that's enough, please test the mirror and add it to our mirror list. This mirror is hosted by big and known Russian company - Yandex, and should be very stable and highly usable by Russian users :)
Does anybody started testing this mirror?
Please, add our mirror to the list of mirrors.
I'm using this mirror about 5 months and it stay stable. Why you don't want to add it?

Shyam, could you sent the mail you mentioned in comment #6 to mirror administrator: ashejn AT_nospam yandex-team DOT ru AFAIK Iliya Sharov is in the team, but actual work is currently done by Arkadiy. Also mirror.yandex.ru is syncing from spreader.yandex.net (77.88.19.68) and allotter.yandex.net (87.250.239.69), so please allow this servers to sync from masterdistfiles.gentoo.org.
