added "emerge -info", I think this bug should be reopened.

Please provide us java -version and attach Xorg.log
Comment 6 Stefan G. Weichinger 2007-07-24 20:48:23 UTC
# java -version
java version "1.4.2-03"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build Blackdown-1.4.2-03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build Blackdown-1.4.2-03, mixed mode)

Xorg.log follows with next comment, after saving this and other stuff before crashing X again ;-)

Does it work with something else than blackdown? Like sun-jdk-1.5?
Comment 9 Stefan G. Weichinger 2007-08-08 13:57:26 UTC
sorry for delay, nearly forgot about it.
Can I test jxplorer with sun-jdk without uninstalling blackdown? How?
Comment 10 Stefan G. Weichinger 2007-08-08 16:19:59 UTC
forget previous msg.

# java-config -L
The following VMs are available for generation-2:
1) Blackdown JDK 1.4.2.03 [blackdown-jdk-1.4.2]
*) Blackdown JRE 1.4.2.03 [blackdown-jre-1.4.2]
3) Sun JDK 1.5.0.12 [sun-jdk-1.5]
4) Sun JRE 1.5.0.12 [sun-jre-bin-1.5]
5) Sun JRE 1.6.0.02 [sun-jre-bin-1.6]

I did a "java-config -s 4" to use Sun JRE and jxplorer starts fine.

One further reason to remove stable keywords from blackdown-jdk.

Old and involving blackdown
