this was done on purpose ... you'll have to talk with upstream to get the situation changed see the upstream URL for the place where to discuss the change

I overlooked this bug and filed a dupe, sorry. This bug breaks Evolution2 - you can't add appointments to calendar because date check fails. The upstream has been informed about this hostile joke and still no changes are visible. Please at least revert their patch in portage until official correction is released.
