Description jsado_sc3 2007-07-22 14:15:11 UTC
When I start up Gimp (2.2.16, also had problems on 2.2.12 and 2.2.14) and either try to open an image that is wider than 767 pixels, or create a new image wider than 767 pixels Gimp segmentation faults.

I have already filed a bug report with gnome before realizing that this is probably not a bug in the program (or else someone would have surely found it by now) but maybe a bug in the build system.

The bug can be seen here:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=459135

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Comment 2 jsado_sc3 2007-07-22 23:35:14 UTC
I rebuilt the Gimp with the necessary options to obtain a back trace and now the bug does not occur. I guess it was something to do with my optimization settings.
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-23 06:14:27 UTC
Well, I'd suggest that you upgrade your gcc. If you still have the issue w/ >=gcc-4.1.x and manage to find out the offending C[XX]FLAGS, feel free to reopen.
