If you have multiple views in your layout, they are not updated. If you resize them, the content of inactive views actually disappears, so you cannot work anymore in any other wiew. The weird thing is that this doesn't happen to detached views. So you can work with kpovmodeler only with a one-view layout. This makes the program almost not usable. I tried with and without direct rendering and different useflags. Are we talking about kpovmodeler-3.5.5? If so, please try with 3.5.7. Does it still happen there?
Got the reason. Actually, this happens when i have translucency enabled in my kde desktop. Disabling translucency/shadow in kde (not composite in Xorg) kpovmodeler works fine. That's weird, should be fixed, but the bug can be rated as minor as well as the user is warned to do so. By the way, to disappear were all the views in the layout, to stay visible was the camera view.

Yes it's kpovmodeler-3.5.5. Sorry i can't try 3.5.7 on this system cause this involves upgrading to kdelibs-3.5.7, and i'll not do it on a pure 64bit production system.
Ok, 3.5.7 is stable on amd64 now. What's the result with 3.5.7?
