Real name: Davide Italiano E-mail address: davide.italiano@gmail.com Nick: dav_it Location: Italy (city will be changing due to university) Davide is a enthusiastic guy from Italy that is looking forward to contribute with the sgml herd, where his help is very much welcome. He has made contributions to the GWN and the Gentoo Artwork team in the past, so he might be looking to cooperate with those teams at a future time. I (leonardop) will act as his mentor.
First, thanks a lot to Leonardo for this oportunity and to everyone who helped me w/ contribution. I have just sent my ebuild quiz to recruiters@g.o, after my mentor (leonardop) reviewed it. Kind Regards dav
I hope you will still contribute in Artwork team as a developer. Good luck.
Well, I definitely look forward to bringing Davide on as an official staffer for the GWN. Allowing him to commit his own articles would be nice. ;] Recruiters, when Davide gets added, add him to the GWN group (cvsgwn, I think) and I'll train him on how to do the GWN stuff.
I will take this as Calchan is in LWE. Ping me on IRC to schedule a review session. Be sure to have read http://devmanua.gentoo.org before that and please compile a list of previous contributions that you think will convince that you possess the required skills.
Just a small clarification in relation to the new bug description: Davide might work on staff positions, but he will join the sgml herd as a regular dev, so access to the portage tree is kind of important :). Thanks.
If you want to verify my skills, you can see the lastest GWN(s) or talk w/ musick and wolf (because of lots of my articles weren't published due to GWN delay)... Or you can see http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/artwork/index.xml , I made the last wallpaper. Or you can contact my mentor (leonardop). I'll ping you on IRC, and we'll review the quiz =)

Just adding my two cents here. Davide has done some artwork for the ppc64 team. His work was outstanding and he demonstrated a positive, team-oriented attitude during the work and review of his work. Davide should be an excellent addition to Gentoo. Good luck Davide.
Betelgeuse, I'd like to resolve all the bugs that were assigned to sgml herd before reviewing the quiz, if you agree. I'm waiting for an answer Cheers
Staff quizz reviewed an approved but I can't download your GPG key from servers so no way to verify
key just sent to hkp server subkeys.pgp.net regards
Ok so set up: LDAP userinfo.xml -core bugzilla cvsgwn group on cvs.gentoo.org #gentoo-dev channel access TODO: IRC-cloak announcement What you need to do: - subscribe to mailing lists with @gentoo.org address - request forum status bump in #gentoo-forums or by mail to forum-mods@g.o (if you have a forums count) - send yourself mail to create .maildir - add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org ) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org - ask team leads to add yourself to herds.xml for the herds you want to join or do it yourself if you have the permission to do so - set lat and lon attributes in LDAP if you want others to know where exactly you are located
Forums account sorted.

I desire to obtain full access now.
Davide has expressed his wishes to join the bsd team. Recently he has been filling so many keyword requests that we haven't really been able to keep up with keywording. I think he would be a good addition to the team. If Leonardo does not have enough spare time anymore to mentor him, I could relay him as Davide's mentor for the few remaining steps to become an ebuild dev.
Quizzes to recruiters@gentoo.org after checked by your mentor and then contact me on IRC to schedule a review session.
