Description Jo Claridge 2007-07-17 01:30:00 UTC
one of the files I manually fetched from http://spin.niddk.nih.gov/bax/software/NMRPipe/, dyn.tar.Z is 46450371 and the expected size is 37424311. This kind of problem has been rectified before as the same thing is reported for an older ebuild of nmrpipe in bug #151627

Reproducible: Always

Hi Jo,

Thanks for reporting. This has been a recurring problem with NMRPipe since the upstream developers use unversionned archives and do not allow their redistribution. There is no reason to believe this will improve in the future, so I have decided to mask NMRPipe in Portage. I intend to remove the package completely in a month's time. NMRPipe in Portage caused more problems that it was worth...

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I've gotten in touch with Frank Delaglio and I'll try to revive the package and fix the manifest for the latest version of nmrpipe.

Jo, a temporary workaround for your problem is to run:

ebuild /usr/portage/sci-chemistry/nmrpipe/nmrpipe-2.5.2006.184.15.37.ebuild digest

That will cause the ebuild to accept the files you've downloaded.

Okay, I fixed the Manifest for the relevant files currently on http://spin.niddk.nih.gov/NMRPipe/install/

Enjoy!
