Description Nelson-Jean Gaasch 2007-07-16 22:46:44 UTC
I was using compiz-Fusion from the xeffects overlay, as it worked, i removed beryl (removed the package.keywords, use and unmask references) and emerge --unmerge beryl aquamarine. (As with both installed i had dependency problems with emerald to update).
This solved my conflict of emerald, so I proceeded with emerge --sync && emerge -avuDN world
Suddenly X reboots. I relog and relounch my emerge
Suddenly X reboots. I relog switch back to kde and relounch my emerge: then works fine again

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.with Compiz-fusion launhed
2.emerge cpio 2.8
3.

Actual Results:
X restarts

Expected Results:
emerge itself normally... how can emerge of a program make X restart without a warning.

Fixed when switched back to KDE
