Description Tom Molesworth 2003-03-31 05:14:11 UTC
Support for the 3DFX Voodoo3500 TV graphics card TV input and output, in kernel
module form.

Package is the standard CVS snapshot from v3tv.sourceforge.net, patched for the
following issues:

(1) Compile on 2.4 kernels with new i2c_ structures (replacing old sensor_* format)
(2) Support for KERNEL_MODVERSIONS (which might break the non-MODVERSIONS build,
since I don't know how to detect whether this flag has been enabled or not in
the current kernel?)
(3) Installation directory (${D}/lib/modules...)

Tar file contains the ebuild, patch and an init script to load the modules for
ease-of-use. If X11 is used, some patches to the XF86Config are required to
support the TV-in/out functionality; these are noted by einfo lines but no
further action is taken.

Following the rivatv package, this is probably best located in media-video?

I would appreciate it if you guys can reassign to somebody with a Voodoo.

This ebuild is way outdated and attached as a tarball. If you are still
interested in this, then attach a plaintext ebuild for current version, but
honestly - I don't see much use for this, the hardware is quite rare and
obsolete and probably none of the developers owns this card anyway so they
cannot even test this.

Closing WONTFIX meanwhile.

Updated packages are available here:

http://www.gilfillan.org/v3tv/
http://www.gilfillan.org/v3tv/vpx3224/

which I can generate an ebuild for unless you would prefer to leave this closed.
