Please don't assign the bug when you create it unless you're sure which group is responsible for the package.
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-08-04 13:57:55 UTC
this is a bug in cedega code where it does not properly check for rc versions

file a bug with them as they provide support for this package

Hi,

I installed cedega 6.0.2 (updated engine to 6.0.3 at start of setup wizard).
I had exactly the same problem with the wizard doing nothing when hitting the "finished" button at step 5.

The error log was the same as you.

How I solved it :
=================
# To be sure that no old install and config interacts bad with this new install
>emerge -C cedega
>mv .cedega .cedega_OLD
>mv .cedegarc .cedegarc_OLD

# I got some error message about dbus binding in Python, so installe it.
>emerge -av dev-python/dbus-python

# As I'm running an AMD64 PC, had ton install 32bits compat libs
>emerge -av emul-linux-x86-baselibs emul-linux-x86-compat emul-linux-x86-gtklibs emul-linux-x86-java emul-linux-x86-medialibs emul-linux-x86-qtlibs emul-linux-x86-sdl emul-linux-x86-soundlibs emul-linux-x86-xlibs

# I think this is the point to solve your problem
>emerge -av alsa-utils

And now I can play Dark Age of Camelot, or what other Games :-)

Hope that help.
Comment 4 Tristan RENAUD 2007-09-29 10:56:23 UTC
Oh, by the way, maybe the ebuild should be updated with a dependance to alsa-utils, as the install of this package seam to solved the problem ?
