This is NOT a Gentoo Bugzilla product bug; read the descriptions please. Also, emerge --info missing.

Your python is broken by your ricer flags; we don't support this.

I compiled python an my entire system with the following flags.

-march=pentium-m -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer

Please, stop wasting our time.

<snip>
CFLAGS="-march=pentium-m -O3 -fprefetch-loop-arrays -falign-functions=4
-ffast-math -fforce-addr -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium-m -O3 -fprefetch-loop-arrays -falign-functions=4
-ffast-math -fforce-addr -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer
</snip>
Comment 6 Michael Rudolph 2007-07-09 23:35:43 UTC
I don't know if I'am wasting your time or not, but I changed my CFLAGS to these settings just yersterday. So, my system is still compiled with -march=pentium-m -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer.

thank you

I don't understand why this bug is invalid.

that differs from Your "emerge --info" posting from the same day, as shown by Jacub in Comment #5.
Edit Your /etc/make.conf, recompile Your system (emerge -e world) and see if that helps.
Comment 9 Michael Rudolph 2007-07-30 08:12:58 UTC
The issue was resolved by emerge -ND world, but I have no idea why.
