k3b fails to burn audio cd with the following error message: E/A-Fehler (would be I/O-Error in english) The sub-program output gives no error inditation only the text below. I tried with cdrdao and cdrecord as well as different modes DAO TAO and RAW. Using cdrecord directly from the command line works fine. Did you try w/ 1.0.1-r1?
(In reply to comment #1) > Did you try w/ 1.0.1-r1? > I tried 1.0.1-r1 and 1.0.2, both have the same problem on my system. Now it says: E/A-Fehler. Wahrscheinlich haben Sie keinen Platz mehr auf der Festplatte. which means: I/O-Error. Probably no space left on device. I checked my home as well as the /tmp folder which is actually root / and both have more than 1 GB. I also tried to burn only one track to the CD and i got the same error message. So maybe there is another reason for that ? Regards, Wilhelm
No idea; you could try w/ app-cdr/cdrkit instead of cdrtools.
(In reply to comment #3) > No idea; you could try w/ app-cdr/cdrkit instead of cdrtools. > I tried this one, exactly the same message. I guess this happens before k3b is talking to cdrtools or cdrkit programs, maybe related to the conversion module (as the mp3s or oggs need to be converted to wav)? Regards, Wilhelm
Try going to Settings->Configure K3B, then the Programs icon. Are all the required programs found? I'm using /usr/bin/transcode 1.0.3, with xvid, lame, ffmpeg, and ac3 support. I suspect lame is the important feature.
I tested this again and i discovered that my temp directory that is configured in the k3b settings does not exist (sorry :-( ). I created the directory and now it works for me with both the latest 1.0.3 and the 1.0.1-r1 version. Not sure about the 1.0.2 version, i think i have tested this with different directories, so this might have a problem. Thanks, Wilhelm
Well, configuration issue apparently, closing.
