Niklas would like to join us to work on PHP, media-gfx and desktop areas, assuming he will be accepted by teams. I will be mentoring him. Niklas is from Turku, Finland so our Finnish Conspiracy is growing. He is known as Jarda on Freenode. We've gone thru ebuild-quiz so far, and I'm quite pleased with his answers.
Other areas of intrests would be Java and AMD64.

As I'll be away for a bit, let him talk to Jakub about it. dev-lang/php is not in need of any help, PECL/PEAR packages (especially the latter) could use some, and new packages are always welcome if he wants to add them. What is the status here? If you have written new ebuilds etc that you want to see in the tree we can just see under which herd they fall. If you have no experience in ebuild writing, this bug should not have been opened in the first place :)
