I see that it works with en_US locale

PPC doesn't use blackdown, our only jdk is from IBM. Is this still applicable to us?

x86 stable
All the test phase seems to do is produce lines like: [java] File "test.tmp/Interpreter/SimpleNode.java" does not exist. Will create one. Is this normal?

The compile problem I experienced is solved with the latest version of axion (bug 186329), I suggest the two are stabilised together.
