Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-06 15:24:05 UTC
Please test and mark seq 0.8.7 stable so that we can cleanup old versions; this version has been in tree for almost an year now, and no bugs are open, so it should be pretty safe to stable.

Thanks,
Diego
Comment 1 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-06 17:18:17 UTC
Thanks togge to let me know I misspelt the package name.
Comment 2 Thomas Cort 2007-07-06 23:39:20 UTC
It crashed...

Steps to reproduce:
 1) Start seq24
 2) Right click on the second box down on the left side and select "Paste"
 3) Press Ctrl+Q twice

Here is my ASCII art of the main window. Do the paste into the box with the X.

1. Emerges on AMD64.
2. Test phase (nothing done).
3. No collisions.
4. Execution: I could reproduce the segmentation fault commented above.

Comment 4 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-16 06:16:14 UTC
can anyone on x86 test if it segfaults, too?
Comment 5 Markus Ullmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-20 17:04:35 UTC
works fine for me on x86

Comment 6 Jurek Bartuszek (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-21 21:31:37 UTC
I confirm that segfault occurs after following the testcase provided in comment #2
Comment 7 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-05 06:30:07 UTC
And now? What should we do about the segfault? Does this segfault occur in current stable, too? And did anyone inform upstream?
Comment 8 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-24 06:07:04 UTC
(In reply to comment #7)

Again...I can't reproduce it, so would some please test on the current stable to know if it is a still existing error or a new one.
Comment 9 Jurek Bartuszek (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-24 17:44:55 UTC
Yeah, reproducible with current stable (0.6.3), so it's not a regression
Comment 10 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-24 18:02:00 UTC
(In reply to comment #9)
> Yeah, reproducible with current stable (0.6.3), so it's not a regression

Here we go then, x86 stable.
Comment 11 Wulf Krueger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-28 18:42:50 UTC
On amd64, stable 0.5.2 even needs one CTRL+Q only. Not a regression there either, thus: Marked stable on amd64.

Nevertheless, upstream should be informed.
