Hi folks, there has been an update for the cursor theme "x11-themes/xcursor-neutral". -> v.1.2 More infos can be found on kde-look.org -> http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/show.php?content=48837 Old (*fixed*) ebuild request bug -> https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130046 I will attach a modified (*old*) ebuild. Thx in advance ;)
Created attachment 123993 [details] New ebuild version The new version is originally v.1.2, but because the "old" version was 1.13xx, i renamed that ebuild to v1.20. Well, i someone knows a better way to fix that issue, please help me out here :7 Additionally this ebuild is aware of the USE flag "examples", so someone could install those the included cursor source files.
thank you ,fixed
(In reply to comment #0) > there has been an update for the cursor theme "x11-themes/xcursor-neutral". > -> v.1.2 This actually looks like another theme altogether to me: the little hands have their colors reversed, the author is not the same and the URL you provided points to "Neutral Plus", not "Neutral". If you look at the version history of both themes (URLs are below), you will see they are disjoint. Plus, the Neutral Plus page acknowledges it is a mod of Neutral, but it is not the same project. URLs for both themes: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Neutral?content=28310 http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Neutral+Plus?content=48837
Oh yes, you're right, i feel sorry, seems like i didn't read carefully enough :/ The *new* author describes it as mod of Neutral. So what do you propose? Remove v1.2 and add as renamed ebuild? Well, this mod looks great to me, too, so i vote for renaming it. I'll reopen this bug, hope the maintainer (genstef?) won't be too displeased about it.
I like the neutral plus one so i will just let it be that way :) If someone complains and says that he likes the other one more I can still move it to another name.
(In reply to comment #5) > If someone complains and says that he likes the other one more I can still move > it to another name. Actually, I do prefer the "neutral" theme myself, although the new one is quite alright. I propose you just make another ebuild for this one, just to keep things tidy.
