I read somewhere in bugzilla that uclibc should compile with -nls -userlocales -iconv, but still doesn't. Using default flags doesn't work either. I suspect that this is specific to the target somehow, as crossdev -t i686-pc-linux-uclibc finished without error for me.
Just tried "crossdev -t i686-pc-linux-uclibc -v" and uclibc installed with no errors, so it is specific to the target. >>> cross-i686-pc-linux-uclibc/uclibc-0.9.28.3 merged.
ive already fixed this upstream quite sometime ago and it's in 0.9.29
