Description Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-03 17:02:29 UTC
sci-chemistry/pynmr-0.37f doesn't emerge with pymol-1.0-r1. The dependency in the ebuild for pynmr-0.37f is <pymol_0.99. Does this have a reason or could pymol-1.0-r1 included?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge pymol-0.99_r10
2. unmask sci-chemistry/pymol-1.0-r1
3. emerge pynmr
4. emerge -u pymol

Actual Results:
Calculating world dependencies |
!!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been
!!! pulled into the dependency graph:

('installed', '/', 'sci-chemistry/pymol-0.99_rc10', 'nomerge') pulled in by
  ('installed', '/', 'sci-chemistry/pynmr-0.37f', 'nomerge')

('ebuild', '/', 'sci-chemistry/pymol-1.0-r1', 'merge') (no parents)

It doesn't work otherwise, see Bug 132905. Also, upstream seems dead. :/
Comment 2 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-03 18:04:02 UTC
But you still can emerge it with pymol-0.99_r10. perhaps the ebuild needs a correction for that.

If it doesn't work w/ 0.99_rc10 then the only option is to remove this dead thing.
