OK, I've added your IP back into the access list (81.23.237.217). please let me know when you've got things sync'd back up and I'll re-add you to the rotation.

Comment 2 Thomas Wielfaert 2003-04-02 07:55:37 UTC
I get connection refused.
Comment 3 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-02 07:59:07 UTC
This is the line pulled straight from our access list:

        addMirror 81.23.237.217

Can you confirm that's the correct IP address?

OK, I restarted rsyncd. Can you try connecting again and, if you get an error message, please post that message?
Comment 6 Thomas Wielfaert 2003-04-02 08:10:20 UTC
Ok, it works.
Comment 7 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-03 18:21:43 UTC
When I try to rsync, I get:

kurtl@x5 trashme $ rsync -avz 81.23.237.230::gentoo-portage/ ./

rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (678 bytes read so far)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(165)
Comment 8 Thomas Wielfaert 2003-04-04 05:39:00 UTC
I think it's fixed.
Comment 9 Peter Penkala gentoo-dev 2003-04-23 15:29:10 UTC
Completed a full sync without errors. The timestamp is current, but
two minutes early (19:58 instead of 20:00). Can you confirm that ntp
is running?

Thanks.
Comment 10 Thomas Wielfaert 2003-04-24 05:28:04 UTC
Fixed.
ntpdate is now a cron job every hour.
Comment 11 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-26 12:36:41 UTC
this mirror is now rsync1.nl.gentoo.org. I've added it to the rsync.europe.gentoo.org rotation and will also add it to the main rotation once we're transitioned over to our new DNS system.

Additionally, I've subscribed thomas@spacecake.be to our low-volume gentoo-mirrors mailing list, where we announce mirror-related changes, issues, etc.

Thanks for helping to support Gentoo Linux.
