As discussed on gentoo-dev in the past month, and a year ago, and before that, etc... please create a gentoo-dev-announce list. If possible, it would be great to set it up so posts to gentoo-dev-announce are automatically also send to gentoo-dev so people only need to send to one place. Also, please set Reply-To to gentoo-dev so the list remains announce-only. Thanks!
gentoo-dev-announce list has been created. please subscribe yourself and test. please comment here if there are problems. - garchives has been subscribed for archiving. - as it's an -announce list, mlmmj wants moderators. I set the listadmins (myself and lcars) for now. Please propose others BEFORE 2007/07/20. chizu: please ensure gentoo-lisp shows up on archives.g.o later.

Hopefully we got the Reply-To: gentoo-dev and the autopost to -dev as I requested. I didn't see either of those points addressed in your comment, Robin, so I'm assuming they work. I just posted to it saying both of things things work, so please do not let my post through if they don't.

I see that the Reply-To is correct, but we don't have an auto-crosspost to -dev for the initial announcement. Would it be possible to add that?

Did someone activate crossposting, because I got both (manual) crossposts three times: Example: "Hooks are gone from java eclasses" was mailed to -dev and -dev-announce by betelgeuse. However, I received three mails: * [gentoo-dev-announce] Hooks are gone from java eclasses * [gentoo-dev] Hooks are gone from java eclasses * [gentoo-dev] [gentoo-dev-announce] Hooks are gone from java eclasses This was the same for "kxdocker (and associated packages is being purged)" too. The "Last rites for dev-ruby/switchtower" in between did not get crossposted. On another note: Appending (instead of replacing) list headers in the third mail messes up procmail filtering: ... List-Id: Gentoo development announcement list <gentoo-dev-announce.gentoo.org> X-BeenThere: gentoo-dev-announce@gentoo.org ... List-Id: Gentoo Linux mail <gentoo-dev.gentoo.org>
All issue resolved.
