Description Ace Dahlmann 2007-07-01 17:26:33 UTC
DVDs get broken at about 70-80% finished. I first thought, it would be just an error of full temp or memory, but it isn't.
CDROMs are being finished successfully.
DVDs can be burnt on that machine without any problems by using Xcdroast.
(I use only +R at the moment, I have no results with -R)

With k3b I get the following error:

----8<----

K3b Version: 0.12.17

KDE Version: 3.5.5
QT Version: 3.3.8
Kernel: 2.6.21-gentoo

----

Someone adviced me to read this lkml-thread: http://lkml.org/lkml/2005/1/28/86
But this is not the same error I get. In my case, EVERY DVDROM gets broken.

DVDROMs? I guess not. :P Anyway, try w/ k3b-1.0.2 if other burning apps work. If they don't, then well, not a k3b bug.
Comment 2 Wulf Krueger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-21 23:26:34 UTC
Does this work with >=k3b-1.0.1?
Comment 3 Ace Dahlmann 2007-07-23 15:08:47 UTC
I still have to try. I have just moved and I need to install the furniture and stuff. ;)
Comment 4 Wulf Krueger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-22 11:39:27 UTC
Any news on this?
Comment 5 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-15 09:08:12 UTC
Well, zero response from use. Try w/ 1.0.3 and get back to us.
