This fonts were required for lilypond [1], but now lilypond upstream moved this fonts into old directory[2] and nothing in our tree depends on this fonts. Seems that lilypond is now using freetype[3] and not require this fonts anymore. [1] http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.4/Documentation/topdocs/out-www/NEWS.html [2] http://lilypond.org/download/old/ec-fonts-mftraced/ [3] http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.6/Documentation/topdocs/NEWS.html I'm not sure how this fonts are useful on their own, so probably it's time to clean them from the tree. Marijn, do you have any comments here? Thanks.

(In reply to comment #4) > Masked for removal. > The standard 2 months it shall be.. # Peter Volkov <pva@gentoo.org> (11 Jan 2009) # EC fonts are tex fonts, this package was used by lilypond at some point of # time, but now nothing uses them, no maintainer so it looks like time to # remove them from the tree has come. Objections? Report to bug 183730.
