SmartSVN (http://www.syntevo.com/smartsvn/) is probably the best GUI SVN client. Unfortunately closed source but with a freely available "Foundation" edition. It probably fits best under dev-util/smartsvn.

Created attachment 147885 [details] An ebuild for SmartSVN 3.0.7 Just a simple version bump.
Created attachment 149685 [details] An ebuild for SmartSVN 3.0.8 Just a version bump. Some bug fixes. I should say that I'm not bothered about getting this into the tree but I thought as someone seems to be that I might as well keep the ebuilds in this bug up to date.
Created attachment 154055 [details] An ebuild for SmartSVN 3.0.9 Another version bump. Only 2 hours after it was announced! Do I really have nothing better to do? :(
Created attachment 161181 [details] SmartSVN 3.0.10 This also works in paludis now and updated to new 3.0.10 version
Created attachment 166718 [details] smartsvn-4.0.6.ebuild
Created attachment 177247 [details] An ebuild for SmartSVN 5.0.1 * Bumps the version * Corrected a couple of problems highlighted by QA warnings Menu item doesn't seem to be getting added but I'm not sure how to fix this.
Created attachment 179779 [details] An ebuild for SmartSVN 5.0.3 Really just a version bump. Changelog for SmartSVN is here: http://www.syntevo.com/smartsvn/changelog.txt As for the ebuild, besides changing the number: * I've changed the installation directory to "/opt/smartsvn/", rather than "/opt/smartsvn/SmartSVN ${PV}", because I didn't like it. I don't know which is more 'correct'. * I've removed some unused lines * The menu addition seems to work now * I don't know whether ${D} is needed as a prefix to certain paths, but I think I've made its use more consistent.
Created attachment 182139 [details] An ebuild for SmartSVN 5.0.4 Version bump. The path within the package has changed slightly, such that what would have been, "SmartSVN 5.0.4" is now "smartsvn-5_0_4".
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy. This is copied verbatim from the smartcvs bug, but I believe the issues are the same. I have had a quick look at the ebuild within sunrise overlay and have noticed a few qa issues which will need to be fixed. 1) please inherit java-pkg-2 eclass. This is required for _all_ java based packages. 2) While installing there are a few issues, you should be using java-pkg_dolauncher, java-pkg_dojar, etc, etc. I would suggest looking at the latest dev-util/deskzilla ebuild as an example of what to do. This is another binary java package, installed within /opt. 3) Im not sure whether there are any bundled dependencies, but please not that if there are they will need to be replaced. Thank you for the effort you have made so far.
Hi there Are you still interested in adding this software to Portage? Please let us know. Thanks.
I guess not. Closing.
