Description Mathieu Goutfreind 2007-06-26 10:09:42 UTC
I use audacious 1.3.2 to play a webradio has usual but now it crashes everytime, the problem is that audacious usually plays webradio very well.
Here are the informations about the webradio i tried to play (these information were given by mplayer) :

Codec audio sélectionné : [faad] afm : faad (FAAD AAC (MPEG-2/MPEG-4 Audio) decoder)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Comment 3 Tony Vroon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-26 12:19:36 UTC
1.3.3 is likely too old to be able to deal with this specific AAC stream. Please try the following:
echo "media-plugins/audacious" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords

emerge audacious-plugins

If this resolves the issue I will see about getting 1.3.5 stabilized early.
Comment 4 Tony Vroon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-26 14:08:45 UTC
To confirm, this stream has now played for 3 hours and 50 minutes. As this is not a genre of music that I particularly appreciate, I will shut this stream off now. However, for as far as I can see it is completely stable.

If you try this instead, it will actually work...
echo "media-plugins/audacious-plugins" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
emerge audacious-plugins

Sorry about that.
Comment 6 Mathieu Goutfreind 2007-06-26 17:18:51 UTC
This has fixed the problem thank you Tony Vroon.

echo "media-plugins/audacious-plugins" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
emerge audacious-plugins
