Clicking on that picture should (according to the picture text) enlarge the picture. This does not happen. It will reliably crash Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on image 2. *boom* 3. Actual Results: Crash Expected Results: Enlarged image I've created a bugzilla entry on mozilla.org but they can not reproduce the crash: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385446 Here is my emerge --info: omc-2 etc # emerge --info Portage 2.1.2.7 (default-linux/amd64/2007.0, gcc-4.1.2, glibc-2.5-r3, 2.6.20-gentoo-r8 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.20-gentoo-r8 x86_64 AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 252 Gentoo Base System release 1.12.9 Timestamp of tree: Mon, 25 Jun 2007 08:20:01 +0000 dev-java/java-config: 1.3.7, 2.0.32 dev-lang/python: 2.3.5-r3, 2.4.4-r4 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r5 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.17 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.61 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1-r3 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.3.16 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.22 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.17-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/share/X11/xkb" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/gconf /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/web2c" CXXFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="distlocks metadata-transfer sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://ftp.belnet.be/mirror/rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo/ http://mirrors.sec.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/gentoo/ http://pandemonium.tiscali.de/pub/gentoo/ ftp://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/os/linux/gentoo http://mirror.gentoo.no/ http://gentoo.prz.rzeszow.pl http://ftp.du.se/pub/os/gentoo ftp://mirror.pudas.net/gentoo" LC_ALL="en_US.utf8" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --delete-after --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages --filter=H_**/files/digest-*" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X aac aalib acl alsa amd64 apache2 berkdb bitmap-fonts browserplugin bzip2 cdr cli cracklib crypt cups dri dvd dvdr dvdread emacs fam fbcon firefox foomaticdb fortran gdbm gnome gpm gtk gzip-el hal iconv ipv6 isdnlog jpeg libg++ midi mmx mp3 mudflap ncurses nls nptl nptlonly nsplugin nvidia ogg opengl openmp oss pam pcre pdf perl png portaudio pppd python readline reflection session spl sse sse2 ssl tcpd tetex theora toolkit-scroll-bars truetype-fonts type1-fonts unicode vorbis wma xine xorg xvid zlib" ALSA_CARDS="emu10k1" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" ELIBC="glibc" INPUT_DEVICES="evdev keyboard mouse" KERNEL="linux" LCD_DEVICES="bayrad cfontz cfontz633 glk hd44780 lb216 lcdm001 mtxorb ncurses text" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="nv nvidia vesa" Unset: CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, INSTALL_MASK, LANG, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS_FLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS
No crash here either. Try with a fresh profile without any plugins.
in ff-2.0.0.4 on ~amd64 a small window with an enlarged image pops up, no crash.
Hmm, OK - just closing it. It's been half a week since my original bug report on mozilla.org and now it doesn't crash anymore. Something must have been fixed or my box might be haunted...
