I get this... ../sysdeps/generic/rtld-lowlevel.h:1:2: error: #error "Lowlevel primitives for ld.so not implemented" make[2]: *** [/var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/glibc-2.5-r3/work/build-default-hppa2.0-unknown-linux-gnu-linuxthreads/csu/libc-tls.o] Error 1
I'm just about to try the 2007.0 profile.
Which is what I suspect will work, as it looks like it's trying to build linuxthreads which I guess is not supported.
If this does work, then the 2006.1 profile should have it's glibc put back to the stable 2.3.6.
Not sure what RESOLVED TEST-REQUEST means but it works with the 2007.0 profile. So it's a problem for 2006.1 profiles. Re-opening.
So use 2007.0, or what's your trouble?
I'll use the 2007.0 profile, but the 2006.1 hppa profile should be deprecated if you can't build glibc.
2006.1 will be deprecated in the near future, but meanwhile I set it to mask >glibc-2.4. I think that should fix this bug. Not yet upgrading from 2006.1 to 2007.0 now means all of the toolchain (headers, binutils, gcc) should get upgraded and be ready to build glibc when you make the profile switch.
