Hello! After upgrade from 3.0 to 4.0 I discovered the following bug. If any fullscreen window presents at any workspace, then popups notification windows are not displayed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set "Enable message popups" flag in m-n preferences 1. Maximize up to fullscreen an application (tested with GIMP, gqview) 2. Go to another workspace 3. Send mail to yourself Actual Results: Popup window will be not displayed Expected Results: Popup will be displayed Tested with GNOME 2.18

mail-notification switched to using libnotify in version 4.0, and libnotify does not show notifications when fullscreen applications are running. As far as I can tell this is by design. If you think this should be changed the best course of action would be to file a bug upstream with libnotify: http://www.galago-project.org/news/index.php The following upstream bug gives a rationale for not showing notifications: http://trac.galago-project.org/ticket/142 I'm closing this bug as there is nothing to be done for mail-notification.
