ebuild for new versions of jruby-1.0.0 and activerecord-jdbc-0.4

Reproducible: Always

note: jruby-1.0 was not an update of jruby-1.0.0__rc3 so I use jruby-1.0.0

jruby was bumped by nichoj. activerecord-jdbc belongs to ruby herd

Added activerecord-jdbc-0.4 to CVS.

Not exactly sure what issue you're trying to express about jruby.

All the RCs had been released as 1.0.0_rcX, and then the final release was 1.0. As far as portage and the other package managers are concerned, 1.0 is actually less than 1.0.0_rcX.

So, to avoid the confusion of a downgrade from 1.0.0_rc3 to 1.0, I versioned it as 1.0. Of course, this introduces the confusion of why it's versioned as 1.0.0 instead of 1.0.

you expressed the same as I wanted to say: use jruby-1.0.0 to avoid confusing "downgrades"
