Description Robert Buchholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-12 17:26:52 UTC
After upgrading to thunderbird-2.0.0.0, it crashes randomly after starting.

* This also happens the same way with the -bin package
* I reinstalled enigmail after upgrading
* I have no installed extensions or themes
* I ran revdep-rebuild after upgrading
* The client is configured to check for new mails every some minutes, and has two imap accounts and some rss feeds set up.

Compiled with the following options:
mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird-2.0.0.0 USE="crypt ipv6 ldap -bindist -debug -gnome -mozdom -moznopango -replytolist -xinerama -xprint" LINGUAS="de -be -bg -ca -cs -da -el -en_GB -es -es_AR -es_ES -eu -fi -fr -ga -ga_IE -hu -it -ja -lt -mk -nb -nb_NO -nl -pa -pa_IN -pl -pt -pt_BR -pt_PT -ru -sk -sl -sv -sv_SE -tr -zh -zh_CN -zh_TW"

(btw, the arrow buttons in the new folder menu do not appear)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start thunderbird
2. wait
3. crash

Actual Results:
crash

Expected Results:
no crash

please see above backtraces and straces.
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-12 17:35:54 UTC
How about if you recompile it with *sane* C[XX]FLAGS?
Comment 4 Robert Buchholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-12 17:51:07 UTC
The bug traces are from an actual compile with
CFLAGS="-march=nocona -mtune=nocona -O1 -pipe -ggdb"
Comment 5 Robert Buchholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-12 17:59:45 UTC
Starting from scratch with a new profile helped for now, so closing.

Mozilla profile handling just sucks.
