I record some movies from tv with mencoder, no problem so far. I then cut the films (remove head, tail, ads, ...) and watch it with xine. Now I just recorded some movie I wanted to look "shifted" with the recording (so no cutting with avidemux). But xine is not playing the sound. I waited until it was finished and tried again, no way. But after cutting it with avidemux, its fine again. Created attachment 121823 [details] an recorded avi, before and after "cutting" (nothing has been removed, just saved by avidemux) tar.bz2 contains: test_mencoder.avi: No sound in xine, recorded by mencoder test_same_file_edited_by_avidemux.avi: Sound is well, just loaded in avidemux and saved in "copy"-mode (for video and audio). Perhaps someone can try them on other archs as well.
This is an upstream bug, and a true one for it. Please open a bug at http://bugs.xine-project.org/ attaching the testcases there, I'll take care of the issue.
