Name: Markus Meier Location: Switzerland Email: meier_markus@bluewin.ch Mentor: me / Christian Faulhammer / opfer@gentoo.org Markus has proven to be a reliable and fast-reacting arch tester for several months now in the x86 team, that's why we want to recruit him for us. He is still not sure which other teams to join so he needs some time to consider. Anyway, we went through ebuild quiz already and it will be sent shortly to you. You can find him on IRC as maekke_
Ok quizzes to recruiters@gentoo.org when approved by opfer. After that ping me on IRC to schedule a review session. Be sure to know your stuff before that. Some things to read: http://devmanual.gentoo.org/ http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/glep/
Glad to see this finally happening :)
tsunam: As the team lead please acknowledge.
What do you want me to acknowledge? maekke as stated has helped out for quite a while and been effective with that assistance to the team. Becoming part of x86 is natural I would assume :-P
(In reply to comment #4) > What do you want me to acknowledge? > Recruiting policy states that new people must be approved by the project lead.
First time I've been asked actually so...that's where the confusion was coming from.
A status update: Markus has sent his first quiz to recruiters and is working on his second while waiting for approval of reworked first one.

ebuild quiz reviewed. maekke must submit a revised version to recruiters@gentoo.org. I will be waiting for the approved version of the EOM quiz.

end of mentoring quiz sent to recruiters
(In reply to comment #11) > end of mentoring quiz sent to recruiters > You need to schedule a review session for the EOM quiz like the one we had for the ebuild quiz.
(In reply to comment #12) > You need to schedule a review session for the EOM quiz like the one we had for > the ebuild quiz. we did that already!? I just sent my revised EOM quiz and requested ebuild to recruiters.

I see commits. Welcome back! Remember to do stabilization in time, and add python-3.10 compatibility ASAP to your packages. Also you should look into switching to pkgdev for doing git commits - by default it'll add the new ${PV} to message's summary. Let me know if you need help with anything! You know how to contact us/me :)
